Emergency Utilities Assistance

A Delaware County resident who seeks financial assistance with a utility bill is asked to make an appointment with the PIN Emergency Services Coordinator.  The client is required to bring a picture identification and the delinquent bill or shut-off notice for their Delaware County address.  After completing an application for assistance and a brief assessment, the client may be issued a voucher to give to the appropriate utility provider.

 

 The client’s file is documented with the date and type of service received.  This program has frequency guidelines and is designed to provide emergency assistance when the client is facing the utility shut off or has already been shut off.  There are no provisions to provide on-going assistance.
