Welcome to People in Need, Inc (P.I.N.) We are a family service agency bringing together and organizing various ways to lend a helping hand to Delaware County residents. Each program receives a percentage of financial support from the Delaware County United Way in addition to direct donations from the community.
Food Pantry Needy families and individuals are provided with emergency food orders and nutritional guidance.
Emergency Services Limited assistance is available for unusual and unexpected utility bills, as well as other miscellaneous expenses to those who are experiencing hard times.
Emergency Housing Vouchers are provided to those individuals (families) who are unable to maintain their present location.
Emergency Medical and Dental Assistance for certain medical needs on a limited basis is available, including dental treatment for adults and school-age children through financial allocations.
Holiday Clearing House New toys and new clothes are distributed to the needy children as well as food baskets to their families and senior/disabled shut-ins for the holidays. Remaining donations of food and monies are Board allocated to the direct services of the Food Pantry and Emergency Assistance Programs.
Advocacy/Outreach Our mission extends beyond the boundary of direct services to assist individuals/families in their search for positive alternatives. Our goal is to address long term needs and identify permanent solutions as a means toward self-sufficiency.
